Committee Duties

Review each preliminary application in order to make a determination as to the applicant's ability to operate and maintain the system, whether the proposed project is technically feasible and is the most cost effective alternative to construct, operate and maintain as compared with alternatives which achieve substantially the same public health or economic development benefits; ;
Review all funding matters related to each preliminary application;
Recommend to the Council the funding sources the project sponsor of each preliminary application should pursue to finance the proposed project; and
Assist in the development of a comprehensive statewide inventory of water supply systems and sewage treatment systems and assess the current and future needs of such systems and unserved areas of the State.
